Research residency in Creuse, France x DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine - DAAC Limoges
Je poursuis les travaux débutés en Creuse l'an dernier dans le cadre de ma recherche sur les traces d'Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, soutenue par la DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine et le Rectorat de Limoges. Cette seconde étape en Creuse m'amène à Mainsat, Le Monteil au Vicomte et Aubusson, trois destinations traversées en 1925 par Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Deux écoles et un collège participent à une enquête sous plusieurs formes : micro-trottoir in-situ, entretiens avec les habitants, commerçants et rencontres avec les résidents des EHPAD. Des présentation publiques du projet ont été organisées pour les habitants.

Research residency SHAKERS x DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes - Montluçon, France
Merci à la DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, au Département de l'Allier et à la résidence d'artistes Shakers pour l'accueil à Montluçon. Pendant cette résidence de territoire, je m'intéresse au passage de Saint-Exupéry à Montluçon, au travers d'une correspondance échangée en 1925 alors qu'il est représentant pour les camions Saurer. Nous avons mené une enquête sous la forme d'un micro-trottoir avec les élèves du collège Jules Ferry, ainsi que plusieurs ateliers de présentation et pratique du cyanotype à destination du grand public.

Research residency Institut Français d'Égypte x Ard Art Institution - Cairo, Egypt
I am currently in a research residency, invited by the French Institute of Egypt in Cairo and Ard Art Institution. I'm focusing on the reception of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's crash by the Egyptian press in 1935 and 1936. This research will lead to an exhibition in Cairo from March 2024.
Je suis actuellement en résidence de recherche, invité par l'institut français d'Égypte au Caire et Ard Art Institution. Je m'intéresse à la réception du crash d'Antoine de Saint-Exupéry par la presse égyptienne des années 1935 et 1936. Cette recherche donnera lieu à une exposition au Caire à compter du mois de mars 2024.

Conférence pour les Alliances Françaises du Canada - Halifax, NS, Canada
Merci à l'Alliance Francaise d'Halifax de l'invitation à une table ronde avec Pr. Bernard Delpêche (Acadia University) et Stéphane Gérard (Saskatchewan University/Sorbonne Nouvelle) pour la journée des professeurs de français. J’ai animé par la suite des ateliers à l’Alliance Francaise ainsi qu’à Gorsebrook Junior High School. Mon déplacement au Canada se poursuit jusqu'au 13 décembre avec le soutien de l'OFQJ.
Very happy to discuss The Little Prince with Pr. Bernard Delpêche (Acadia University) and Stéphane Gérard (Saskatchewan University/Sorbonne Nouvelle) at the invitation of @af.halifax for the French Teachers' Day. I then gave workshops at the Alliance Francaise and Gorsebrook Junior High School in the framework of a OFQJ mobility grant.

Rencontres Michel Foucault - Université de Poitiers & TAP
Merci à M. Frédéric Chauvaud et M. Thierry Olive (MSHS Poitiers) pour l'invitation à l'édition 2023 des Rencontres Michel Foucault, consacrée au Fait-divers et co-organisées par le Théâtre Auditorium de Poitiers et l'Université de Potiers. Je suis intervenu sur le crash d'Antoine de Saint-Exupéry dans le désert égyptien, en décembre 1935, et sur la façon dont un fait-divers transforme l'aviateur en écrivain.
Thanks to Frédéric Chauvaud and Thierry Olive (MSHS Poitiers) for the invitation to the 2023 edition of the Rencontres Michel Foucault, co-organized by the Théatre Auditorium de Poitiers and the Université de Potiers. I presented Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's crash in the Egyptian desert, and more specifically, how a true story transforms the aviator into a writer.

Research residency Canada & USA
From July 30th until September 6th, I am researching the traces of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in Canada and in the USA. I am specifically working on a series of lectures the author gave in Montreal and Quebec City in May 1942.

TV5 Monde - Maghreb Orient Express
Merci Mohamed Kaci pour l’invitation dans Maghreb-Orient Express sur TV5MONDE pour évoquer la dimension égyptienne de mon projet à la recherche du Petit Prince. Au mois de mars, en résidence à Institut français d'Egypte à Alexandrie, j’ai recherché les traces du crash du célèbre écrivain-aviateur en Égypte. En croisant plusieurs archives de presse, les écrits d'Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, et les notes de son mécanicien, j’ai pu identifier la zone dans laquelle Saint-Exupéry et André Prévot se sont crashés et ont erré pendant quatre jours. Cette expérience, vécue toute fin 1935, fait écho aux premières lignes du Petit Prince, écrit sept ans plus tard.
Plusieurs élèves alexandrins ont participé à cette enquête qui a donné lieu à une exposition rassemblant archives, création photographique contemporaine et une performance musicale avec Ahmed Saleh. La suite début 2024 au Caire ! En attendant, je continue mon itinérance sur les traces de Saint-Exupéry au Québec, en France, et sur la rive sud de la Méditerranée.

Many thanks to Mohamed Kaci for inviting me on TV5MONDE's Maghreb-Orient Express to talk about the Egyptian dimension of my project In search of The Little Prince. Last March, in partnership with the Institut français d'Egypte in Alexandria, I traced the famous writer-aviator's crash in Egypt. By cross-referencing several press archives, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's writings and the notes of his mechanic, I was able to identify the area in which Saint-Exupéry and André Prévot crashed and wandered for four days. This experience, which took place at the very end of 1935, echoes the opening lines of The Little Prince, written seven years later.
Several Alexandrian students took part in this investigation, which gave rise to an exhibition featuring archives, contemporary photography and a musical performance by Ahmed Saleh. A second show will happen in Cairo in early 2024 ! In the meantime, I'm continuing my itinerary in the footsteps of Saint-Exupéry in Quebec, France and the southern shores of the Mediterranean.

Solo show at Archives départementales, Guéret, France
Du 4 mai au 10 juin 2023, je présente le fruit de six mois de travail en Creuse sur les traces d'Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. L'exposition présente les travaux de 200 habitants de Guéret, Boussac et Bourganeuf sous la forme d'une installation, ainsi qu'une sélection de trois photographies liées au passage de Saint-Exupéry dans sur le territoire.

Le Van, DAAC du rectorat de Limoges d’avoir accompagné ce projet ; au CTEAC Creuse-Confluence coordonné par Martine Braquet , ainsi qu’aux proviseurs Mme. Henry, M. Moreau, M. Dufour, Mme. Connay, et aux équipes pédagogiques des collèges Henri Judet, Jules Marouzeau, Martin Nadaud et Jean Picart Le Doux pour leur investissement et leur accueil. From May 4 to June 10, 2023, I am presenting the fruit of six months of work in Creuse in the footsteps of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The exhibition presents the work of 200 inhabitants of Guéret, Boussac and Bourganeuf in the form of an installation, as well as a selection of three photographs related to the passage of Saint-Exupéry in these towns.
Thanks to David Redon, DRAC Nouvelle Aquitaine advisor, and to Mr. Le Van, DAAC of Limoges, for having accompanied this project; to the CTEAC Creuse-Confluence coordinated by Martine Braquet, as well as to the principals Mrs. Henry, Mr. Moreau, Mr. Dufour, Mrs. Connay, and the teaching teams of the Henri Judet, Jules Marouzeau, Martin Nadaud and Jean Picart Le Doux secondary schools for their investment and their welcome. Solo show at Institut Français, Alexandria, Egypt
Following my research residency at the French Institute of Alexandria, I am displaying a series of photographs, archives as well as a blueprints installation. This exhibition focuses on the crash of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in the Egyptian desert in 1935.
In collaboration with the alexandrian artist Ahmed Saleh, we had the great pleasure to perform a visual and sound performance during the opening on the 13 of march.

"All Around Culture" program, Tunis (Tunisia)
Mohamed Gohar and myself are glad to announce our selection in the "All Around Culture" program within 31 other participants coming from all around the Arab World. Our project "Forgotten Entrances" aims to question the representation of Alexandria today through sketches (M. Gohar) and photographs of the corniche.
This program is co-funded by the European Union and implemented by L’Art Rue.

From the 2nd of October 2021, "Maalesh, voyage en Méditerranée" is exhibited at Le Bastion/Musée Jean Cocteau, Menton. Fully decorated by Jean Cocteau in 1962, "Le Bastion" is a fort overlooking the Mediterranean (15 minutes drive from Monaco).
